another day, another opinion
Everyone has their opinion. I knew that, but until you start asking people what their opinions are, you aren't really aware of how different they are. I just got done talking with Shelia Burkhalter, my big boss at FYE, about my upcoming travels and plans to look at schools. She's part of the camp that thinks that loans are worthwhile if the reason for the loan will accomplish the end goal. So, if me going to one of these schools will polish me in a short amount of time and put me towards a better job and higher pay, then she thinks it's worthwhile. She said that, depending on my salary, paying back a loan isn't necessarily that hard...if I live frugally, I can do it pretty quickly. And that having a loan doesn't mean that I have to miss out on other things. It just means that I have to choose what's most important.
My mom says that loans should be avoided at all costs.
Bronson says that loans make a person an indentured servant, but that me going to school could really help my career.
Mark, my graphic design mentor..., says that debt is part of the beginning of a good graphic design career.
Ariel told me not to worry about the money. Sharon told me that loans can be used wisely.
Oh my

I've never taken out a loan. The thought of borrowing money scares me. But I've bought things on credit before and it's the same principle. I'm kind of with your mom though, avoid it if possible. However, if it is necessary in order for you to go to school, then it truly is necessary right?
