news and not news
I have no new news on the MANA position. Of course, every day that goes by is another day that I lose hope...but I'm trying to stay positive. B/c if this job isn't right for me, then there's something else out there for me...right?
I worked a split shift today (9-3:30, 5:30-10) so I'm pooped but happy that I got to make some of the money that I didn't get to make earlier in the week. I was with my family at Mount Magazine celebrating my grandmother's 84th birthday!! :) I found a lot of awesome hiking trails and heard some sort of animal, but I have no idea what it was!
Okay, I'm going to shower and read and go to bed!

hang in there
When you work with someone, go to school with someone, do something with someone over a period of time, you find out who is a worker, who has initiative, who you want around for the long haul. It takes time to find out. Sometimes, it is easier to sort this out than others, but it is even more difficult to determine who that someone is during an interview. I hope you get repeat interviews. I hope people have the courtesy to respond. But, knowing how hard it is to determine who to hire, I can only say, have patience. Remember what a challenge it is for a stranger to determine your value. Remember what you're worth. Know that your talent and initiative, your ethics and spirit, will be recognized. When that person, that company, that chance comes, you will both be delighted. Keep the faith. You have a lot to offer. It takes time to figure out who's out there and what they're worth. Employers make many mistakes in hiring. Appropriate selection is an art. I pray that you will end up in a place that is JUST RIGHT. Mom
